CHVRCHES Play Edinburgh Summer Sessions
FOLLOWING THEIR HIT SHOW AT THE SSE HYDRO, CHVRCHES WILL PLAY EDINBURGH SUMMER SESSIONS THIS AUGUST
Electro/Synth/Indie Pop band from Glasgow, CHVRCHES, are set to headline our Summer Sessions in Princes Street Gardens on Sunday 11th August 2019!
Formed back in 2011, the band have went from strength to strength. They recently played an outstanding gig in the SSE Hydro, which featured many songs from their newest album ‘Love is Dead’. The show ended with lead singer Lauren Mayberry indulging in Buckfast.
The band say they’re heavily influenced by 80’s pop and are self-confessed fans of Cyndi Lauper, Kate Bush and Whitney Houston which is prevalent in the sound of their tracks.
In 2018, CHVRCHES played to the Glasgow crowd at TRNSMT Festival on the main stage ahead of The Killers. The trio entertained the crowd with hits such as Miracle, Bury It, and Get Out; along with chat of their predications for Lewis Capaldi to take over the charts and be "bigger than god", as well as jokes of them getting the "number 62" up the road after the show.
Watch them play at TRNSMT 2018…
Firm festival favourites, this summer CHVRCHES are set to play Parklife, Reading & Leeds, as well as their homecoming gig on Scottish soil in Princes Street Gardens!
The trio will be supported at Edinburgh Summer Sessions by We Were Promised Jet Packs.
