An Acoustic Session with Ten Tonnes

We sat down with Ten Tonnes for an acoustic version of his single 'Lucy' when he played King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, ahead of Glasgow Summer Sessions. Ten Tonnes will support The 1975 on 25th August in Bellahoutson Park.

TEN TONNES – aka Ethan Barnett – is a 22-year-old musician from Hertford who possesses a breezy, seemingly effortless ability to fashion snap-crackle lyrics and earworm melodies. It’s a trait that’s very much in evidence throughout his self-titled debut album which will be released on May 3rd. It was recorded with producers Hugo White (previously of The Maccabees) and Dan Grech (Wolf Alice, The Killers, Liam Gallagher).

Ten Tonnes has taken Scotland by storm as he sold out the King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow back in January. When he came to visit, we sat down with him for an intimate acoustic session in the famous venue. He played his single ‘Lucy’ for us, check it out…

Huw Stephens has already emerged as an influential fan, and has backed Ten Tonnes with regular airplay and even named him in his Alternative Tips for 2018 list. More support came from MistaJam, Phil Taggart, Jo Whiley, John Kennedy, Radio X and BBC Introducing, while MTV profiled him as a Get To Know breaking artist. Meanwhile, his live shows have included sold-out headline shows at The Camden Assembly and The Lexington and a tour as guest to Rat Boy. A run of arena dates with Stereophonics and further shows with Tom Grennan are also on the cards.

Ten Tonnes will support The 1975 on the 25th August 2019. Don't miss out, get your tickets!
