EVENT INFORMATION
Edinburgh Summer Sessions will take place at The Royal Highland Showgrounds. The venue is located next to Edinburgh Airport, within minutes of the M8 and M9, and within easy reach of the city centre.
Please note this is an outdoor all-standing concert.

Heather On The Hill
There is no minimum age to attend.
Persons aged between 0-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult 21 or over (1 adult minimum per 2 persons aged between 0-15 years old).
Child ticket - For those 0-4 years old.
Kids ticket - For those 5-13 years old.
General Admission and VIP - For those 14+.
Please see information on Guardianship Wristbands below and note this can be done at the entrance as well as Welfare for this show.
You must bring a valid and current ID with you. Photocopies of ID do not count as valid ID. Must be original documents.
The following types of ID are accepted:
UK or International Full or Provisional Driving Licence
UK or International Passport
National Proof of Age Standards Scheme card with the PASS hologram (e.g. Young Scot, CitizenCard, My ID Card)
Must have a PASS hologram on it.
The PASS hologram must not be faded, damaged or tampered with.
If there is an issue with the PASS hologram on your ID, you should apply for a replacement card via the issuing authority as it will not be accepted.
A verification system will be in use to check the validity of all national PASS cards
Access to bars at the events will be restricted to over 18s. A 'challenge 25' policy will be in operation, and you may be asked for proof of age. Please bring acceptable valid (in-date and original photographic) ID.
The VIP Garden offers a relaxed, exclusive space to enjoy your day at Edinburgh Summer Sessions, with a selection of street food, seating areas, enhanced toilet facilities and access to the VIP Pavilion, home to a private lounge and bar. Many areas of the VIP Garden offer excellent views of the Main Stage; however, views vary depending on your location and cannot be guaranteed. The VIP Garden will remain open until 11pm, with bars closing shortly beforehand.
Please note that VIP tickets do not include guaranteed access to the front standing area. This is available to all ticket holders on a first come, first served basis.
Access to the front standing area is available on a first come, first served basis, and we advise arriving early if you wish to gain access to this area. Wristbands will be issued on entry, providing priority re-entry if you leave to visit the food outlets, bars or toilets. However, re-entry cannot be guaranteed if the area has reached capacity.
Who Can Attend
Everyone is welcome - There is no minimum age to attend Heather on The Hill.
If someone is 15 years old or younger, they must attend with an adult who is 21 years old or older. (One adult can accompany up to people who are 15 years old or younger).
Ticket Types

Kids ticket - For those 5-13 years old
General Admission and VIP - For those 14+
Child tickets and Kids tickets will be available once you have selected a General Admission ticket via Ticketmaster.
Ticket limits - 6 GA + 6 Kids + 6 Child per transaction OR 6 VIP per transaction.
If you are attending with someone aged 0-15 years old, we encourage you to register your contact details in advance via our guardianship procedure via this form.
If you are attending with someone under the age of 16, we encourage you to register for our guardianship wristband scheme in advance by completing the form here. This process helps our team to reunite you as quickly as possible in the unlikely event that you become separated.
Guardianship wristbands can be registered and collected from any of our three event entrances or from our Fan Hub inside the arena.
You may bring small personal belongings, including picnic blankets, non-professional cameras, portable phone chargers, ear plugs and items for protection from the weather. Sunscreen is permitted in containers of up to 100ml.
Empty reusable drinks bottles under 500ml are also permitted, provided they are not made from glass or metal.
The event is cashless, and all payments must be made by card or contactless payment.
For Heather on the Hill, additional items are permitted, including baby food, milk, formula, pushchairs and carts. Please refer to the Heather on the Hill event information for full details.
Please read our Special Event Conditions for the full list of prohibited items before attending. Anyone found carrying a prohibited item may have this confiscated, be refused entry, ejected from the event or referred to Police Scotland
Your safety is our priority. Strict security measures will be in place and searches carried out on entry.
If you require any assistance throughout the show, please speak to the nearest member of security staff who can assist you and direct you to our welfare or first aid points if required.
Look after yourself and others round about you.
If you plan on drinking alcohol, know your limits and please drink responsibly.
Security are obliged to refuse admission or eject you from the site if you have had too much to drink so, don’t spoil your night.
It is an offence to supply alcohol to anyone under the age of 18. ID spot checks will be in place, and anyone found supplying alcohol to anyone underage will be removed from the event and referred to Police Scotland.
Our supportive welfare team from TLC are onsite to provide confidential and non-judgemental help in a whole variety of situations. Welfare is a safe space to get support with intoxication, lost friends, sanitary products, or to access a quiet space to desensitise, or if you need someone to talk to.
This is an outdoor event, the weather forecast can change quickly, so please be prepared for all types of weather. Umbrellas are not permitted in the event.

After the event, any unclaimed items will be transferred to our Welfare Team and registered with NotLost. If you realise something is missing after leaving the site, you can search for your item and arrange collection or postage through the Welfare Team’s online enquiry page.
