Bedford Summer Sessions provides amazing artists and live music events tailored for multiple audiences in the beautiful setting of Bedford Park in the heart of Bedfordshire. Bedford Summer Sessions is operated by Live Nation via Cuffe & Taylor.

Having previously run under the banner of Bedford Park Concerts it’s now entering an exciting period for the site, which has already brought some of the biggest names in live music entertainment to the town of Bedford for many years. World-class music acts such as George Ezra, Kaiser Chiefs, Sting, Paul Weller, The Jacksons, UB40, Tom Walker, Tom Odell, Faithless and Scooter to name but a few have all helped put Bedford on the map as an exciting live venue destination, all set in the beautiful backdrop of the stunning Bedford Park.

Whether you bring glowsticks and sunglasses for a pop, rock or dance event. Bedford Summer Sessions will be the place the place to be this summer.

The VIP Park Lounge is our premium option. The ticket involves access to the Garden and the below:

• Fast track entry into the arena
• Access to the Park Lounge our exclusive marquee and Garden

You are allowed one folding chair per person in the concert arena for use in the marked-out area away from the stage.

This is to maintain a safe area for those customers who wish sit and those who wish to stand at the front of the stage area. Private marquees and gazebos are not permitted.

Please note – folding chairs are not permitted in the Garden or VIP Park Lounge.

Absolutely! Concerts are only ever cancelled due to the weather if the conditions become dangerous. However, you cannot bring an umbrella, so please dress appropriately. The show will continue to go ahead if it rains and there will be no refunds offered should you choose to leave due to weather. The show will only be cancelled or stopped if the weather becomes dangerous.

We do not have child tickets available for this event, but children under the age of five can attend for free.

Children aged five and over should purchase a General Admission ticket.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No more than four under 16s per adult.

Please note: While we are a family friendly business, please remember that this is an outdoor event with loud music and lots of people and so may not be suitable for very young children

Yes, if available, official merchandise will be available to purchase within the festival.

Food and drink are not permitted however there are food and drink concessions within the event.

1 x sealed water bottle is permitted per person max 500ml

1 x empty reusable water bottle is permitted.

There will be free water re-fill stations at the venue.

If you have a medical condition, then a doctor’s note will permit diet-specific food and drink only.

Animals are not permitted on site, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.

TICKET INFORMATION

All Bedford Summer Sessions 2024 tickets are Mobile Entry – so your phone is your ticket! You MUST download your tickets before heading to the festival site. Please make sure to follow the instructions below before leaving for your event to ensure that your tickets can be scanned for entry regardless of the connectivity at the venue.

Download or update the latest version of the Ticketmaster app for the iPhone in the Apple App store or for the Android in the Android App store.

From the app, find your order in My Events.

View your tickets by tapping View Barcode. Screenshots of your barcodes won’t get you in.

Once you have viewed your tickets in the Ticketmaster App. You ticket is automatically saved so it is always ready. Please ensure you do NOT log out of the app!

Downloading to your digital wallet

iPhone users must follow the instructions above before arriving at the venue to access their tickets at entry as saving tickets to their digital wallet is not available at this time.

Android users are still welcome to save their tickets to the digital wallet

The box office is located next to the band stand.

The box office is open from 3pm on show days up until approximately 9pm.

You are now able to pay for your tickets in instalments on Ticketmaster using Klarna.

Klarna offers two options to customers depending on your order value. You can either split your payments in to 3 instalments using the ‘Split by 3 option’ or using the ‘Slice It’ option you can pay in 6,9 or 12 instalments.

The Klarna payment plan options available for your order will display as you proceed to the checkout on Ticketmaster. Please ensure you read the Klarna terms and conditions before proceeding with your payments as you may be subject to a credit search and interest charges using the ‘Slice It’ option.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

We want Bedford Summer Sessions to be an event accessible for all. To ensure we have the correct level of facilities we ask customers to purchase the correct type of accessible ticket on Ticketmaster. The following options will be available:

• Essential Companion

There is an option to select a companion ticket when you are purchasing an accessible ticket. Once you have selected a companion ticket, there will be an approval process. For the approval process, you will be contacted to provide supporting documentation for validation of your request.

Companion tickets must be selected with an accessible ticket as they cannot be requested on their own.

Please check the terms and conditions for companion tickets to see what type of supporting documentation you can provide.

If your request for a companion ticket is not approved, the access team can advise on the procedure.

If you have selected a companion ticket, you will be contacted to provide one of the following forms of supporting documentation as evidence to grant a complimentary companion ticket:

Any level of DLA

Any level of PIP

Medical professional’s letter

Armed forces independent payment

War disablement pension

D/Deaf or blind registration

Nimbus access card

Blue Badge – Only accepted as adequate evidence for accessible car parking.

An ambulant ticket is for customers who have a medical requirement for an essential companion to attend Bedford Summer Sessions.


Customers who have purchased an ambulant ticket will be contacted to provide proof for a companion ticket and to gain access to the accessible viewing area.

Accessible toilets are situated at the accessibility viewing platform and main toilet blocks.

The accessible viewing platform is available for customers with a wheelchair accessible ticket. It is raised platform located with prime view of the stage. There are accessible toilets and a changing unit located nearby.

This area is for customers who require a wheelchair to make their experience comfortable.

The accessible viewing platform has a limited capacity and is strictly for access customers plus 1 companion only.

We will be providing a BSL interpreter for all Bedford Summer Session 2024 concerts.

The accessibility viewing area is a area where chairs are provided.

This area is for customers who have an specific medical requirement to make their experience comfortable.

Companions are welcome to use the seating in the viewing area unless an access customer requires a seat.

The accessible viewing area is not on the raised platform.

To purchase a ticket for the accessible viewing area please purchase an ambulant ticket.

Bedford Summer Sessions is a green field therefore is relatively flat but does have uneven terrain in parts. The ground may be muddy or dusty depending on the weather conditions.

You are permitted to bring required medication into Bedford Park. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the festival and ensure you keep it safe with you at all times.

It is approximately a three-minute walk from the drop-off point to the entrance.

Accessible parking is available at The Pilgrim Centre, Brickhill Drive, Bedford - MK41 7PZ.

This is a short walk to the festival site. It is approximately 200m to the entry gate and 200m to the accessible area.

You can book tickets in due course. You will be required to show a blue badge on arrival.

Please use De Parys Avenue which is opposite the main entrance to the park. This is for all pick up/ drop offs, including taxis, parents, access.

Bedford Railway Station is approximately a 3 minute taxi drive and a 25 minute walk away from the venue.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

There is free drinking water available at the re-fill drinking stations. Please look out for the signage within the arena.

Please help Bedford Summer Sessions to reduce plastic and bring a re-usable water bottle if you wish

There are medical and welfare facilities available within the arena. Please ask a member of security to direct you to the facilities if required.

You are permitted to bring required medication into Bedford Park. Please bring a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s note. Please make sure you only bring enough for the duration of the festival and ensure you keep it safe with you at all times

Bags larger than an A4 piece of paper are not permitted. All bags are subject to a search so please avoid bringing one where you can as this would speed up your entry to the festival.

We advise against bringing valuables to the event, however, if you choose to do so please keep them hidden from view where possible.

Umbrellas are not permitted as they obscure the view of others.

Any cameras that are deemed as “Professional” will not be permitted into the arena.

Not Permitted:

Professional Recording (Photo, Video, Audio) Equipment (NO Detachable Zoom Lense, Tripods or Other Commercial Equipment) Selfie Sticks

The event arena and surrounding areas are covered by CCTV.

There is strictly no readmission on day wristbands. Day ticket holders should expect queues at the entry gate and arrive with plenty of time before the first act they wish to see – no refunds will be given for acts missed. Please ensure you are aware of the last entry time for the event you are attending.
