Heather on the Hill | Edinburgh

Heather On The Hill Festival, a brand-new family-focused one day festival taking place at the Royal Highland Centre on Saturday 22 August 2026. The festival has been created by Nathan Evans & The Saint Phnx Band and has been designed as a festival for all the family, promising a lively mix of music and all-day entertainment for audiences aged 5 and over.

Alongside the live music, Heather On The Hill offers a full day out for families. Young festivalgoers can enjoy face painting, immersive story sessions, arts and crafts, workshops, kids yoga, messy play, a dedicated music and singing tent, lively funfair attractions and a cast of roaming entertainers who will bring the site to life from start to finish. Adults and children alike can explore the festival’s makers market, celebrating local artists, crafters and small creative businesses with unique items available to browse and buy. The festival will also feature a wide range of delicious food and drink options, offering plenty of family favourites and local treats to keep everyone fuelled throughout the day.

No persons under 5 permitted.  

Persons aged 5-15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult 21 and over (1 adult minimum per 2 persons aged 5-15 years old).

Kids ticket limited offer - A limited amount of specially-priced general admission tickets will be available for persons aged 5-13.

Kids tickets will be available once you have selected an adult ticket via Ticketmaster.

Maximum 2 kids tickets are available per 1 adult ticket, with a maximum of 6 adult tickets and 12 kids tickets available per transaction.

Please note: There are a limited number of kids tickets available. Once these are sold out, kids will still be able to attend with a general admission ticket.
